Help me Obi-Wan, You're My Only Hope

My chihuahua Obi-Wan can make the most terrible of days better.  He has been with me through the best of times and the worst of times.  He puts up with a lot of crap from us, but he is as excited to see us when we get home from work every day as he would be if you dropped a colossal pizza on the floor.  Actually, he's more excited because when you drop food on the floor he waits for you to tell him "it's food"" before he eats it.  He's getting up there.  He's nearly ten and his eyesight isn't the greatest but he loves to run the fence with the neighbor's dogs next door and can run the whole length of the yard in six seconds flat.  He hangs out in his under the kitchen table apartment that is upstairs from his sister Cinna's room and prefers to live on his own so he avoids getting in trouble or getting trampled on.  I am so thankful he's mine and that he continues to be a healthy, sweet little boy.

Here are some of his moods and and a few of his many photogenic moments.

When he first came to live with me in Alabama, his tiny size was no problem for his brother.
They got along swimmingly.
Obi's Napoleon complex allows him to live the thug kitchen dog life.
Entirely unenthused to take another photo, he begrudgingly allows one last shot.
He has had this exact chewy for over a month.  He likes looking at it.
Obi is an avid reader.
His favorite (and possibly only) trick is "show me the belly".
This dog has a remarkable love of lady bugs.  He loves the stuffin' out of them.  Graphically and quite literally.
He understands the command "All four feet in the kitchen" but has a goldfish reset.
We used to use a blanket to distract him from watching us eat but he figured out our tricks.
Eyebrows make him roar with laughter.
Although he is somewhat skeptical as to the photographer's ability to capture his best side.
There is nothing this dog likes better than Chinese food.  Particularly fried rice.
His light up safety tag lasted all of two minutes - it was bigger than he was.
Obi takes time to stop and smell the roses.
And he never complains about eating his veggies, or any food at all as long as it's identified.
He was right by his brother's side lending comfort as Puck was dying.
He often reacts with concern over our antics.
He got tired of hearing what a good boy he was so he went as a bad dog for Halloween.
He really hates his Nancy Sinatra boots, but his efforts to remove them are wildly entertaining.
He begged me not to explain this photo.
He may look small, but he is mighty.
He loves to snuggle and is never too warm, much like his mother.
I might be a little biased, but who could resist this much cuteness?

Obi-Wan Kenobi, Obi-Wan, Obi Juan, Obi, Obs, Obert, Oberto, Oberon, Oboe, BoBo, BooBoo, Little Dog, Boathead, Lil' Buddy  - no matter what we call you, thanks for being our dog.
